Page count is only the first variable
Two productions with the same page count can require very different work. Searchable records in coherent order are not equivalent to scanned, duplicated, multi-facility files with missing pagination and conflicting timestamps.
A responsible scope should identify estimated volume, file condition, relevant date range, clinical settings, requested turnaround, and whether source citations must resolve to a file and page.

Chronology and analysis are not interchangeable
A source-cited chronology reconstructs the documented sequence. Screening or case review adds a defined level of nurse-led issue analysis, record-gap assessment, and focused questions.
When a quote silently combines those functions, counsel cannot tell which work is included or compare proposals fairly.

Early case organization may require a focused event window rather than every lifetime record. Expert preparation may require deeper source citation and a gap log. A pending deposition may need an issue-specific supplement.
